The product

Hourly data from the meters you already have

Lumio reads your existing electricity and heat meters, builds a normal curve per metering point and alerts you when something deviates. Everything you need is already in the building.

Plant room with pipes, valves and a modern electricity meter

How are the meters connected without a rebuild?

The main meter shows the total. Sub-meters per plant room, air handler and large load show the cause. Only when the ventilation has a curve of its own can you see that it runs at night.

Connecting usually takes two days per building. We read existing meters over M-Bus, Modbus or pulse output, and add current clamps where sub-metering is missing.

What does the platform do?

  • Hourly data per metering point

Electricity, heat and water hour by hour, per meter and per zone. History from day one, comparable across buildings.

  • A baseline that learns the building

The model builds a normal curve per metering point from weekday, outdoor temperature and opening hours. Anything that breaks the pattern stands out at once.

  • Alerts with suggested fixes

Every alert points to a metering point, a time and a likely cause: a wrong schedule, equipment left in manual mode or presence control out of order.

  • Night analysis

Between midnight and 5 am, all that’s left is what the building does by itself. The platform splits the night load into required base load, explained operation and waste you can fix.

  • Reports for finance and management

Kronor, kilowatt hours and savings against the baseline, per building and for the whole portfolio. Exported or sent automatically every month.

  • Open API and export

All the data is yours. Fetch hourly series over the API, export to Excel or connect to your existing building management system.

An alert in practice

Anomaly: ventilation running at 02:14
Söderhallen site · LB03 comfort ventilation
The air handler has run outside its scheduled hours four nights in a row. The pattern corresponds to about SEK 2,800 a week. Likely cause: the schedule was changed during a service visit on 12 June and never set back.
Suggested fix: restore the schedule in the control system, channel LB03.

How do you get started in four weeks?

We go through the meter list, control system and opening hours together with your facility team. Half a day per building.

Questions we often get about the product

Which meters can Lumio read?

Electricity, heat and water meters with M-Bus, Modbus or pulse output, which covers most meters already in the building. If sub-metering is missing on ventilation or heating, we add current clamps when we connect.

How long before the alerts start coming?

The platform collects data for two to four weeks and builds a normal curve per metering point. Meanwhile you already see your hourly data, and once the baseline is ready the alerts are switched on. Most customers find their first fixes within two weeks after that.

Can the alerts go straight to our facility staff?

Yes. Each alert goes to the person who can fix the fault, with the metering point, the time, a likely cause and a suggested fix. You decide per building who gets which alerts.

Do we need a new control system?

No. Lumio reads the meters and raises alerts, and you make the fix in the control system you already have. If you want to connect the two, there is an open API and export of all hourly series.
